Fleet Manager

The Fleet Manager will be responsible for:

  • Be the first point of contact for company vehicle drivers
  • Manage fleet booking repairs, MOTs,servicing requirements, RFL’s, fuel cards, insurance claims and accident management
  • Manage compliance for all drivers and vehicles
  • Lead in the procurement, leasing and disposal of all Opals company vehicles.
  • Manage vehicle movements and reallocations
  • Monitor accident management and compile monthly reports
  • Ensure all policies are updated and communicated
  • Manage relationships and contracts with all suppliers
  • Develop and maintain excellent relations with internal customers delivering clear concise communication
  • Budget management of fleet repairs, on costs and administrative costs, recognizing the need of value for money in compliance with Financial Regulations
  • Keep up to date with regulations and changes in legislation and advise the business accordingly
  • Strive to continually improve ways of working via new systems / technologies / apps
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety requirements.

What will you need?

  • ·Able to build relationships at various levels across the business
  • At least 1 years’ experience in a similar role
  • A drive to solve issues and see queries through to a successful conclusion
  • A high level of accuracy is a must
  • Able to lead by example, open to change and strive for improvement
  • Ability to challenge constructively when required to do so
  • Ownership, accountability and people skills are essential for success in this role
