Young people in Peterborough are being encouraged to apply for an apprenticeship programme with one of Peterborough’s fastest growing telecommunications company.
Opals Group is particularly seeking to attract young apprentices who want to further their careers in the fast-growing fibre and telecommunications industry.
Specifically, apprenticeship roles are being recruited across Peterborough for Telecoms and Civils roles. The successful candidates will complete an apprenticeship programme delivered by PQMS (a leading telecommunications training provider) which will include both substantial practical development in the field and theoretical training in the classroom.
All apprentices will be assigned a mentor throughout their journey to support them through the apprenticeship process.
By the end of the apprenticeship the candidates will become fully qualified civil or telecoms engineers who are able to work on the Openreach network.
Sam Hodge, Managing Director of Opals Group, says “I am really proud to be announcing our apprenticeship scheme. I am hoping this will be an excellent opportunity for young people who are interested in starting a career in the telecommunications industry, and I am pleased Opals Group is able to help kickstart prospective apprentices’ careers in such a fast growing industry.”
